Husband had stroke, now smokes pot?!

Question: Husband had stroke, now smokes pot.?
My husband had a massive stroke 2 yrs ago and is completely disabled. Lately, I have caught him with pot several times. After all I've been through with him, this makes me really angry. I'm against it because it is illegal, and I cannot financially afford for anything else to happen to me. This is just a disaster waiting to happen, I'm afraid.Health Question & Answer

I would be pissed to. People still don't understand that marijuana use can be dangerous. My friend's father has been a heavy user for 30ish years and he is convinced he is addicted since he started to smoke for relief of pain. I suggest you sit down with your husband and tell him that is really bothers you and it is not going to solve his problems. Don't be afraid because he is more afraid of confronting you. Stand up to what you believe is right.Health Question & Answer

Talk to him about it. Ask him why, and what does it do for him.

Is he in *real* pain.? Do you have insurance for affordable medication.? If not, maybe it relieves the pain.

It's a tough decision to make...whether you should be angry or supportive. I would confront him and tell him you can simply not afford it and start the conversation...at least you will have some clue of where and how he feels about it all.Health Question & Answer

I think he is fed up of his life... and you are doing nothing to make him feel otherwise.. maybe he feels there is nothing worth living for anymore...
y dont change this attitude of his... may help a lotHealth Question & Answer
