I can totally relate to you.
I used to have the most ACNE in our class and I was so ashamed about it. I've tried almost everything and one day, they just stopped appearing. But when I noticed that, my face became dry and flaky.
I think this is just the natural reaction of our body to ACNE. Moisture in our face mixed with all the dirty elements in our environment leads to ACNE. I think because of time, the body found a way to heal itself by lessening the amount of moisture on our face leading to dry skin. But by dry skin, we are less likely to get ACNE.
I hope this helps.Health Question & Answer

Try using an exfoliator, like St. Ives apricot scrub, it works really good!
I use it about 2 or 3 times a week.
also keep using lotion because if you don't your dry skin will be even worse, try a different brand of lotion since the one you have now isn't working for you.

good luck :]Health Question & Answer

That's normal. Try using a light hypoallergenic moisturiser every day after you wash. If you are also using acne medication on your face, make sure that sinks in well before you add the moisturiser. It takes a bit of time, but the flakes will go away eventually. The trick is not to irritate the skin anymore than it already is. Be gentle with it. :-)Health Question & Answer
