I have to look for Gluten free also. The labelling is much better than it used to be and most items now clearly say what is in there. You need to avoid the obvious stuff such as bread, cakes, pies, biscuits, pizza, pasta etc but there are some less obvious things we have to avoid such as the majority of burgers and sausages are out as they are padded out with breadcrumbs. Most soups and sauces are out as flour is used as a thickener. Beer is also out as are some spirits..shame!

Words to look out for if the labelling isn't clear.. wheat flour, wheat, oats, rye, barley. You have to be careful of things that have mustard or soy sauce as an ingredient as both can contain gluten. Most supermarkets have gluten free ranges that are clearly marked with names such as "free from" though some of the food can be awful especially gluten free bread and pasta.

Last thing, a lot of food manufacturers have websites with nutritional and allergy sections and if you are in doubt you can look up the food there to confirm its ok for you.Health Question & Answer

I'm getting some bad signals from you continuing to ask the same questions over and over again.

If you're building a website, prolly best to do your own research. You can't necessarily rely on anything said in here, any more than you can necessarily rely on wikipedia.Health Question & Answer
