Answers:
The Hep B vaccine is used to prevent people from acquiring Hep B, not treat them once they have it.

It is recommended that everyone receive the Hep B vaccine; in fact in my area it is a vaccine that is given out to all school-aged children.

It has never killed anyone. There is a lot of innacurate information on the internet about vaccines. My advice: don't look on the internet for real and accurate info on vaccines. Ask your physician/healthcare worker if you have questions.

Most people with Hep B do not have any signs or symptoms (90% of adolescents and 50% of adults). Many people with Hep B will actually cure themselves in the first 4-10 weeks after being infected, but will keep the Hep B antibodies their body produced in response to being infected. (90% of cases are cured in the acute stage and do not go on to become chronic, 1% of people die during acute infection) Some people who don't clear/cure the virus (people who are chronically infected) can go on to having liver problems , while some will have no other symtpoms for the rest of their life. There are treatments that are helpful in some people and the possibility of curing the infection through treatment, or at the very least slowing the viral damage to the liver cana llow people to live longer and healthier lives.Health Question & Answer

a Hep B Vaccination is a two part (used to be three) vaccination. She does NOT have it, and is just being immunized against it. You should get the shots too....Health Question & Answer

As with all vaccinations it is so your body builds up antibodies to fight it.Health Question & Answer
