Question: Could I be allergic to eye makeup and eye makeup remover.?
My eyes get irritated and water like crazy after I've taken my eye makeup off. The remover I'm using is oily kinda like baby oil. I don't get any in my eyes but it still does this and drives me insane. I wear the works; eyeshadow, mascara, liner...they're your average run of the mill stuff like Jane, Wet & Wild, Maybelline, Cover Girl (I have a variety of stuff).
So I've always wondered if perhaps I'm allergic to this crap especially when I had a real bad case of the irritation yesterday.

I used to be allergic to Maybelline mascara and am still allergic to L'Oreal make up, even the lipstick/gloss. You most certainly can be allergic. It sounds like you're allergic to the make-up remover rather than the actual eye make-up. Try using another remover, hypoallergenic. If that doesn't help, you might call a dermatologist and ask them to recommend a product or type of product that might help. Either way, discontinue the use of your current make-up remover immediately to avoid possible permanent damage to your eyes!Health Question & Answer
