Is stomach ulcer different from acid reflux disease?!


Question: Is stomach ulcer different from acid reflux disease.?
Are those two different diseases.? Are they related.? what are they and if they are different, what symptom makes them different.?

Yes they are different. I have acid reflux disease..

Acid reflux has more to do with your esophagus. It's just acid backing up from your stomach. You can get heartburn and indigestion. I've had to deal with it so much that i've gotten my esophagus stretched because of scar tissue build up.. it gets to the point where I can't swallow any food and hardly any liquid.

A stomach ulcer is loss of the gastric lining in your stomach. Some people think they get heartburn or indigestion from it but its your stomach that's burning. Usually they can bleed and you have to get part of the stomach removed to get rid of it.Health Question & Answer

yes they are acid reflux is when you eat too fast or too much all at once and the hydrochloric acid from your stomach is regurgitated into your oesophagus. (yes this is the write spelling) (throat) and stomach ulcers are when the acid in your stomach eats through the mucus lining of the stomach and irritates the wall of the stomach.Health Question & Answer

reflux is when the acidic stomach contents leak back into ur esophagus. esophagus not designed to handle the acid and if left untreated for long time can get cancer of esophagus.
ulcers occur in stomach.
stomach has coating that protect it from its own acid.
compromise in the coating can lead to acid burning a layer into stomach wall called an ulcer.
they can be related by causes. too much acid secreted can cause ulcer as well as reflux.
