Do these symptoms indicate bronchitis?!

Question: Do these symptoms indicate bronchitis.?
I am only suspecting it...but these are the symptoms I have.

Today is Thursday, I started coughing LAST thursday, got a low fever friday, started getting mucous saturday night and and more on monday morning. After I cough it up, I am okay the whole day and have minor dry coughs. This has been a daily thing ever since. However, when it gets dark (around 8 or 9) I start coughing like crazy. Yesterday, I kept coughing even though I had no mucus or tickle in my throat, but felt like whenever I breathed in it was tight or cold or something and if I tried to suppress the cough, something would push it out. Today, I am coughing like that except I feel a bit of mucous in my chest that I just can't cough up. I have some wheezing during coughs and once, I even coughed so hard that I heard the sound before you vomit. I always get colds but never cough this much. Does this sound like bronchitis or just a major cold.? I don't have fatigue or anything though. Just the coughs are really bothering me and minor nasal congestion.Health Question & Answer

I had bronchitis and asthma all my life(I'm 47) and it sounds exactly the way you describe it except that I don't have a break during the day. I usually feel better after I spit it in the morning(sorry for the word spit but I'm French and can't think about another word)but I never feel good until I get some medications and some rest. I don't like to overuse the antibiotics but they're there for such a case and I suggest that you see a doctor before it gets worst. I once waited and three weeks later I was just feeling worst. I finally went to the emergency and had to be off work for one week. They might just give you a syrup. There's one that the doctor prescribes for me(it might not be good for you if you have other conditions though), the name is Dimetane Expectorant-C, it's quite expensive, around $50.00 for 350ml in Canada and it can only be obtained with a prescription. It makes you drowsy but it works wonders.Health Question & Answer

Bronchitis is a really phlegm producing cough with yellow sputum. Green or gray would indicate something more sinister like pneumonia or a severe bacterial infection caused by the bronchitis. It sounds like the end of a common cold, but if you have to ask Yahoo! Answers I'd see a doctor or urgent care clinic to be safe! If you are wheezing or having any trouble breathing get to the ER immediately.Health Question & Answer

Lifelong bronchial asthmatic. Prone to bronchitis and illness.Health Question & Answer

Sounds like Bronchitis or a case of asthma.

Keep you chest warm at all times..especially near dark. Colder temps cause more symptoms to arise.

I use Vicks Vapourrub on my chest when I feel wheezy...it helps keep my chest warm and helps expel mucous.

If your mucus is green, its likely to be a chest infection, but if its normal colour, then I reckon its a bronchitis/asthma issue.Health Question & Answer

Id also say bronchitis.

About two weeks ago I started getting sick... had a cold, coughing, mucus, runny nose, sinus pressure, congestion, the works. About a week later I started hearing wheezing and a crackling sound when i breathed hard, and it would make me cough. I went to the doctor and he said I haid a sinus infection, and bronchitis. He also said I had early symptoms of pnuemonia.
He gave me antibiotics for the infection, a nasal spray, and cough medicine.
Id really suggest going to the dr. If you dont have insurance, try a clinic they are usually cheaper. It could be bronchitis, but that can develop into pneumonia if it gets bad enough and goes unchecked. Of course bronchitis can last 2-3 weeks, and generally clears up on its own, but its better to be safe than sorry!Health Question & Answer
