Question: If you have asthma mild COPD and your doctor.?
wants you to have a chest X ray what would be the reason for this.? My spirometry tests were a little low but not that bad, however my asthma is a little bit up and down but not terrible.Health Question & Answer

Are you saying that you have both asthma and COPD.? As far as an x ray goes, he could be looking for changes due to COPD, but if you say that your current condition is not that bad there might not be much to see. It could just be that he wants an x-ray now so he can track changes in your lungs over time and have something to compare it to. Or, the doctor could suspect something else is up with your lungs and he wants to take a look.Health Question & Answer
He/she could be looking for something specific or they might just want a baseline x ray that can be compared to future x rays.It's a good idea and I would have it done if I were you.
Maybe he/she heard something unusual when they listened to your chest and they just want to rule something out.
