You are suppose to break the needle off and then dispose of it. I usually place them in a 1L soda bottle and after full I throw it in the trash. The needle can be broken by bending it a few times sideways.Health Question & Answer
In Tasmania we can get sharp's containers from the council for free & you just take it back to em when it is full & they give you another. I used to (b4 I found out about the sharps containers) snap of the needle then put it in the barrel of the syringe then put em all in a large soft drink bottle (empty one of course lol) then once it was full I would tape it up tight & put it in the rubbish. The worry of needles is the sharp side of it more than anything & the safety of rubbish workers if people do put them in the bin. Hope this has been helpful :)Health Question & Answer
You can dispose of them in a "Sharpies" container you can get at any local pharmacy. Or you can purchase a needle clipper (it snaps the ends off a syringe so you cant use it). Either one works great. Health Question & Answer
