Osgood Schlatters disease?!
Question: Osgood Schlatters disease.?
I was diagnosed with osgood schlatters disease a few years ago, which surprised me because apparently its common in teenage boys or old people :s and it last a few months maybe, but lately ive been having similar pains in my knee to what i was experiencing a few years ago... can the disease come back.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
You don't give your age, which in the case of Osgood Schlatter's is essential. ( Congrats on the spelling by the way!)
This condition is purely one of childhood, ( Not old age.) once the bones have fused and hardened the tibial table is no longer painful so your discomfort needs some other explanation.

I wasn't aware that it ever went away to be honest. I was diagnosed with it about 17 years ago and the only solution at the time was to put the whole leg in a cast to keep the knee immobilized while the swelling went down. Well that is not exactly an appealing option for a 13 year old so I never got it done...and I still have the swelling below my knee and the constant mild discomfort.
If it can go away, then I would say that it most certainly can come back if you're vigorously exercising again.Health Question & Answer
