Question: Would low blood pressure and slow heart kill you.?
As somebody i know very close went to hospital today and she fell asleep and the nursers and docs couldnt wake her she was goin to be admitted but she was plonked in a wheelchair and sent home. Now this same woman cant be woken up an ambulance is on the scene and they are pumpin her chest this woman has a condition of TTP which affects the blood which shuts down the organs plus she has eplepisy this woman is not a well woman anyway she is only 48Health Question & Answer

I'd want to know if she'd had a 12-lead EKG done to show what her heartbeat is doing. If her heart rate is too slow, she may need a pacemaker. If her heart rate is okay but her blood pressure is still too low, she should be tested to find out what's going on. She could be severely anemic, for example.

I find it hard to believe that the hospital would send her home in that condition, unless she chose to leave AMA: against medical advice. If a person is in her right mind, she has the right to refuse to be treated, in which case the hospital has to let her go, no matter how sick she is.

It's a very bad sign when the paramedics are having to pump her chest. Most people do not survive when they're in a condition like that.

Low blood pressure(hypotension) and slow heart rate (bradycardia) could yield to insufficinet blood flow to your organs, most important the gord (brain), beans (kidneys), and the heart. If you do not keep these organs well perfused, you will eventually expire. Health Question & Answer
