Answers:
Muscles contract in response to electrical impulses sent from the brain via the nerves. When you apply electricity, the muscles react to the current by contracting. The electricity is of course meant to make the heart muscles contract, which it does, along with all of the other muscles.Health Question & Answer

Your body sends electrical impulses throughout the body to move. The shock *sort-of-hacks* your muscles. The shock with an electric current of (500mA.?) interrupts your heart rhythm and is most likely fatal. ex: brain to nerve to muscle.

Another thing: you can only use the defibrillator like 3 times or you might fry the brain.Health Question & Answer

Because it sends an electrical current through the body. Water is an excellent conductor of electricity and the body is 60% water. The electrical current makes the muscles jerk as well. Health Question & Answer

The machine is supplying a strong electrical impulse, aimed at the heart. This el4electrical impulse causes the body to jerk. Health Question & Answer

Because of contraction of muscles, after all you are giving it in 150 to 300 Joules,of current which is used.Health Question & Answer
