I had the same situation in the same spot on my neck a couple of years ago, and it seems it's back. What could it be.? It hasn't spread past the neck area. Itched REALLY bad!!Health Question & Answer

Chicken Pox can re-occur as Shingles. I believe this is because it is a virus and never really leaves the system. If you have been ill otherwise and/or very stressed out, it can cause them to come out again. Don't itch them and see a doctor for some sort of relief and advice. Sorry, I only know the basics. Women can get stress-induced eczema on the back of their necks. I recommend using 1% hydrocortisone cream and Pramegal. Apply twice a day, after you take a shower and right before bed. Apply the latter as needed, whenever it itches. It should get better in a few days. If not, you should probably see a doctor/dermatologist.

This sounds like "shingles" and is viral in nature like chicken pox. Try and find out as these can be VERY uncomfortable.Health Question & Answer
