Could someone please tell me what this neck X-ray report means?!

Question: Could someone please tell me what this neck X-ray report means.?
"There is marked hypertrophy of the adenoids with significant narrowing of the post nasal space".

We had the X-ray done because our 3 yr old is snoring and stops breathing so we are thinking it could be sleep apnoea.

In ordinary language, your child has enlarged tonsils with narrowing of the space behind the nose (the nasopharynx). You should discuss your results with your child's pediatrician. Confirmation of suspected obstructed sleep apnea in children often requires a sleep test. If positive, your child may require surgical correction of structural obstructions.Health Question & Answer

Hypertrophy means they are enlarged. It is common and relieved by an adenoidectomy. It used to be very common to have tonsils and adenoids removed in children. Did you doctor recommend removing the adenoids.? Health Question & Answer

You will probaly be referred to an ear nose and throat specialist. This is a mass in the upper airway that is obstructing the flow, most likely from infection of the tonsils of the pahrynx. The specialist will tell you what is the treatment.
