my sister inlaw has had some kind of muscle cancer in her breast now they are giveing her drugs anyone had any experience.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I know that hormone treatments are given especially when the primary is in the breast.
This isn't chemotherapy but hormone treatment. The cells would have been tested to see if this is a suitable drug, one often used is Tamoxifen and it has been used with some success. cancer research reports Tamoxifen and raloxifen are equally effective in reducing invasive breast cancer.

PLEASE, don't take this as the drug she will have, but it is a non-chemo one and is widely used in breast cancer treatment.Health Question & Answer

my auntie died from cancer (in december 2005) after battling it for i think 10 years it was.
it was breast cancer and was treated and became benign but then in 2004 it came back and she was given less than 3months to live, this was i think beginnin of yr time, but she fought it with all her strength and died at home a wk b4 xmas 2005. It had come back but got her lung, liver and brain. So this time it was in a way uncurable.

but be strong for ur sister -i-law, and just be there for her, thats all she needs from you, know that despite the cancer, you see her as her, not her with cancer.

my auntie lost her hair, and bought the best wigs!! we went shoping once and becasue she gets hot she carries a fan (the mini ones) and she had her blonde dread lock wig on.. n becasue its not her hair, didn'trealise that one of the dreds had got stuck, it was so funny, we all fell about laughing!! she was fab my auntie. god bless her. wish she was still here.

different treatmets work best for different patients, so the treatment she's on will b suited for her. x
Health Question & Answer

There are various treatments for breast cancer. Perhaps they don't feel she needs chemotherapy or radiotherapy. You don't say what drugs she is taking. I am taking Arimidex and have been taking it for four years now. Health Question & Answer

Could be a hormone blocker, but to be sure why not ask her.?.?.?Health Question & Answer
