Question: I messed around with a pimple before I went to bed, now this morning my right eye is swollen underneath.?
And I'm worried it might turn into a black eye. Did I do serious damage.?

No serious problem but stop squeezing pimples--eventually they cause nasty scars. The gunk inside of the pimple sort of travelled under the skin to cause the swelling along with sleeping on the right side.I have not heard of it causing swelling in the lid but the lower part of the eye may be effected. No you didn't do serious damage. Instead of messing with them, just wash your face with acne pads, you can get them at walmart, every night before you go to bed to keep your face clean. If you can't get any acne pads anytime soon, justr wash your face with soap and put alcohol over any zits after you wash your face, it might burn but it will make them go away.Health Question & Answer
It's entirely possible that you have a staph infection. If you introduced (obviously accidentally) staph bacteria into the open area (by poking it with an unsterilized needle or popping it with unwashed hands) it could easily swell overnight. Go immediately to the doctor. Staph infections could be deadly if not properly treated.Health Question & Answer
I have never in my life heard about a pimple effecting your eye. Maybe you got some of the build up from your pimple in your eye.? It won't turn into black eye - flush it out. Don't scratch it if it itches. If it doesn't disappear in 24 hours, I would recommend seeing your doctor.Health Question & Answer
