White patches on my skin?!


Question: White patches on my skin.?
I have several white patches all over my body that appear to have no pigment. They have not always been there and have only appeared in the last few months. They started quite small but have gradually got bigger and more noticeable. They are mostly on my back but there are also several on my legs, shoulders and other areas. They also for around small moles. Any ideas what they are and any other info.?Health Question & Answer

this is a heritary condition genetic Vitiligo my dad is german and started getting white patches i read its part of an autoimmune conditon like hashimoto thyroidits lupus i guess europeans are noted for this and michael jackson , or not.?

Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder in which white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. The hair that grows in affected areas may also turn white.

Could be a number of things if youv'e been in the sun it might be hypopigmentation. Or even vitiligo which is usually genetic both of these conditions can be difficult to cure. It may even be a simple fungal infection due to excess yeast on the skin which can be cured which antibiotics. See your GP.Health Question & Answer
