Getting tetanus shot and wanna know?!

Question: Getting tetanus shot and wanna know.?
I asked and everyone convinced me i should go to the emergency room and get a tetanus shot after cutting myself. It's been about 15 years since I had one. All i remember is it hurt more than any other shot I ever got. I'm paranoid, in ALL HONESTY how bad does it hurt, i wanna be prepared, tell the truth please!!!Health Question & Answer

Personally, I think the shot doesnt't hurt that much. It lasts for only a few seconds, and the only bad result is the area feels bruised for a day or two after recieving the shot. When you're there, just listen to some music, or smoething else to take your mind off of the shot, and before you know it, it will be over with. :)Health Question & Answer

I got a tetanus shot a few years ago because it had been a loooooong time since my last one. My doctor recommended it to me as a precaution. I went ahead and got it and I can honestly say that this shot had the worse side effects of any shot I have ever gotten in my life.

For the first few days - I got nauseous, my stomach hurt and I even got dizzy.

If the cut wasn't a really deep one and you know that the knife wasn't rusty, I wouldn't even worry about it. They're just trying to look out for you but I don't think it's necessary.Health Question & Answer

It hurts a lot less than having your limb amputated, look at it that way.

I leaves your arm sore, that's about it, you don't even feel the needle.Health Question & Answer

Its not that bad. I think the worst part is I tend to get a little dizzy right after getting one. I've felt worse pain than a tetanus shot.Health Question & Answer
