Very small, blister like bubbles on side of stomach?!

Question: Very small, blister like bubbles on side of stomach.?
My 18 month old daughter has very small, clear, blister like bubbles on the side of her stomach and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are called. The doctor said they were nothing to worry about but I cannot remember what he said it was. They also seem to itch. He did say that she most likely got them from another member of the family that has them. If this rings a bell to you I would appreciate the input. Thanks!Health Question & Answer

Could be a harmless staph infection. They're common in kids since their immune systems aren't as resistant as adults.

They're usually from skin to skin contact, shared towels, etc.

As long as they don't get worse and your pediatrician was not worried and looked at them, then it's not a big deal. The serious ones are identified easily and they're not as common. Again, just keep an eye on them and make sure your pediatrician isn't worried.

My friend's baby had one on his arm and was perfectly fine. I also had an adult friend who had one a few years ago. She stayed home for two days just so she wouldn't spread it, but it didn't bother her other than itching. Health Question & Answer

It sounds like chicken pox. You could give her an oatmeal bath to help relieve the itching. Benadryl would also work.......but not sure of that since she is so little.
Chicken pox usually show up first on the back or under your cloths. They are contagious before you break out and until the blisters scab.Health Question & Answer
