Question: Frightened over my health.?
I'm 6'3, and I went from 160 lbs to 150 today for no apparent reason. Is sleeping for sixteen hours and not eating during that time a possible cause (due to staying up for two days for a college project).? I normally eat quite a bit, and I don't know what's leading to this.Health Question & Answer

If you have a fast metabolism, you could easily lose 5 lbs. of weight in 16 hours of sleeping without any food. I assume that you also were not taking in any liquids during that time and you may be slightly dehydrated. That plays a big role in your health, so I would suggest that you start hydrating with juices, water and/or even Gatorade right away.
Don't worry ... the weight will come back. If you eat and drink and continue to lose though, then I would seek help from the health community.
