Health Question & Answer

Answers:
The risk of contracting HIV from anal sex is higher than other sexual activities. It is estimated around 1 in 100 per exposure. It is also unlikely that she had HIV. Most people do not specially in industrial coutries like Australia.

I do not believe that PEP is effective after 5 days and I am even not sure if your doctor would have prescribed PEP based on this exposure. PEP is effective before 72 hours and not after.

To put your mind at ease, get tested around 6-8 weeks of your exposure. Almost all infected people test positive by this time. Then confirm it with a 3 months conclusive test.

I personally expect a negative result for you based on this single episode.

Good Luck!Health Question & Answer

PEP is only effective for 72 hours. This is the most high risk form of sexual behavior. The fact that you did not ejaculate increases your risk since if any virus were around or in the tip of your penis it would have been expelled. Since you were on top that decreases your chances of contracting it. You can go to the doctor and get a Quantitative PCR DNA analysis. They will look for actual copies of the virus which appear very quickly, unlike the antibody test. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

Since you were not penetrated your risk is low and since you did not ejaculate in "her" that also is safer, but if you didn't use a condom, there is always a risk.

PEP is recommended ASAP we say here in the US up to 72 hours and you are past that already.Health Question & Answer

Well hopefully u used a condom. If not then it is very liekly to contract the disease. sorry im not sure what PEP is. But yea a shemale probably has nasty STD's especially if you had to pay himHealth Question & Answer
