You might be able to get an infection, like a bacterial infection or a yeast infection from germs on the hand. There is always a risk of this if anything is inserted into the vagina- it has a very sensitive pH balance. However, you cannot contract an STD from this. The only possible way would be if other bodily fluids were on the hand. Even if this were the case, you could NOT contract HIV this way. If you're having pain or irritation in the vagina, it could just be sore. If it continues, check for a yeast/bacterial infection.Health Question & Answer
You cannot contract any stds this way unless the other partner masturbated or touched themselves in their genital area, immediately before touching you. The very small risk associated with that would pertain to HPV (genital warts) and other contact stds. HIV is not at all a concern, unless your partner had an open and actively bleeding cut on their finger. You are most likely overreacting.
