Nose piercings lump/bump?!

Question: Nose piercings lump/bump.?
i have had my nose pierced for like 6-7 months now i have a lump underneath it and sometimes it shows up on the outside of my nose, It comes out like a spot with puss coming out and stuff. Its very annoying and stressful i have bin using Sea Salt and Tee Tree Oil and have just started to do hot compresses with a cotton wool.
I was thinking about getting my nose re pierced but next to it because the piercing is too high. Do you think i should wait for the lump to go or shall i just get the piercing next to it and hope i dont get another lump. And do you have any other suggestions on what to use to make the lump go.? Hi did you have your nose pierced with a gun.? Unfortunately this is the problem with having cartilage pierced with the gun and not the needle. The gun is for the ear lobes ONLY. Most good body piercers refuse to use a gun for any piercing and I happen to agree. It carries risks of tissue damage and local infection. It can also cause rejection of the actual piercing. Basically there is a bigger extent of tissue damage caused by the gun then that of a needle.

It sounds like you have a small abscess there. If I were you, take the piercing out and leave it out, as you said, your not happy with the position, just have it pierced again in the future. Wait for the lump to go before you have the next piercing.

Most European countries have actually now banned the use of guns for cartilage piercing.Health Question & Answer

ah! my friend had this same problem. she pierced her nose herself and it became lumpy and black as well.

You HAVE to wait till the lump goes away because you don't want it to get infected.

you CAN have it re-pierced you just have to be careful to keep it cleaner. \

the second time my friend pierced it (a while later) it was find. no lumps returning XDHealth Question & Answer

I have the same problem with my ears, they have been pierced for about three years, and everytime I put my earrings in (they are 18k gold), my ears get a bump on them, and I have puss inside. I was told that I am allergic to the metal. Try using some campo phenique.Health Question & Answer

and my step mom has a noise ring and thats happened to her a couple of times. im pretty sure is either allergy's or a pimple.
and i am almost positive its not something to worry about, just check the link bellow:

Well...I've had lumps under my ear piercings and i recently got my tragus pierced and there is a lump. i think you should wait till the lump goes down first, as you may make it worse.Health Question & Answer

My daughter has this problem also. She was told that nose piercing should be done with a needle and not the gun like they use when doing your ears. This is what causes problems..Health Question & Answer

i say you get it on the other side. that way it will completely heal. and you won't tear it .Health Question & Answer

I had this problem with my ear lobes. The doctor advised me to get them re-pierced (in the same spot), but I haven't.Health Question & Answer

hi
i have the same problem but my lump came a few days after it was pierced and i waited to see if it would go but it didn't then i started using a cream and sea salt water but nothing has worked i have now had my lump for about 6 months and it wont go if i was you i wouldn't get it re pierced next to it as it might make it worse
if the sea salt isn't working for you then maybe its the metal try a gold nose stud
but if non of that works go to the doctors or phone up the place you got it done
also if you are thinking about taking it out its a risk because the lump doesn't always go.
you could have this lump for ages or you could be lucky and it will go
good luckHealth Question & Answer
