i had a little cold sore, so i cut it open and then i put preosid in it and put this jelly that is like tanish color on it will that help it from not getting bigger and not spreading.?Health Question & Answer

What I have found to help is an ointment called Denavir. Once you have cut it open put a small dab of Denavir on it the open sore do not rub it in. It may sting but only temporarily. Do this at night and leave the ointment on for the night. when you wake up take a wet hot towel and slowly apply pressure on the sore and slide to the side. The sore will be open again. Dry it with a clean towel and repeat the above steps every evening. After a few days the cold sore will dry up and heal. The only thing is the open sore looks strange so avoid leaving the house as much as you can. Good luck.Health Question & Answer
