You can remedy this problem by going to the dentist after flossing for three weeks straight and brushing regularly. You may also like to ask your dentist for an appointment to have yur teeth whitened while you are there.Health Question & Answer

Fenugreek

Among the several home remedies for halitosis, the use of fenugreek has proved most effective. A tea made from the seeds of this vegetable should be taken regularly for correcting the condition. This tea is prepared by putting one teaspoon of seeds in half a litre of cold water and allowing it to simmer for fifteen minutes over a low flame. It should then be strained and used as tea.

Avocado

Another effective remedy for bad breath is avocado, which is far superior to any mouth lotion or remedies for this condition. It effectively removes intestinal putrefaction or decomposition which is one of the most important causes of bad breath.

Guava

Unripe guava is useful in halitosis. It is rich in tannic, malic, oxalic, and phosphoric acids as well as calcium, oxalate, and manganese. Chewing it is an excellent tonic for the teeth and gums. It helps cure bleeding from gums and stops bad breath. Chewing tender leaves of guava tree also stops bleeding from gums and bad breath.

Raw Juices

All fruit and vegetable juices are beneficial in the treatment of halitosis and should be taken liberally by those suffering from this disorder. Juices from green vegetables are especially valuable.Health Question & Answer

Before you can guess at a remedy, you need to know why you have bad breath. Most bad breath comes either from (a) tooth decay or gum problems, or (b) the lungs. A very small percentage comes from your stomach, or digestive disorders such as dry mouth, low saliva production, etc.

If you smoke or if you haven't been to the dentist recently to check for cavities and other problems, your bad breath won't go away with any remedy.

Bad breath is not, contrary to popular advertising, caused by GERMS.
Listerine and other mouthwashes don't help much. Get your teeth checked first, then get a medical checkup for other systemic problems you may have.

If you only experience occasional bad breath, such as after eating spicy or garlicky foods, then the lime-juice rinse suggested by another answer is a good solution. So is chewing fennel seed or parsley, but the taste of both is relatively difficult to get used to. One is bitter and the other tastes like anise (licorice).Health Question & Answer

If brushing your teeth and tongue aren't helping along with a good swish with a strong mouth rinse, you may need to reconsider your diet. Do you eat a lot of garlic or spicy foods.? Do you eat a lot of junk food.? These things may contribute to your bad breath and you may need to change your diet for a week or so to see if it is diet. If it isn't, check with your dentist or even your doctor because you may have an overgrowth of bacteria that may, or may not, need to be taken care of. Until then, chew lots of minty-fresh gum! :DHealth Question & Answer
