PLEASE, don't guess! Go to hospital and have this checked out if you cannot wait for doctor's appointment. One of the things that really make medicine so expensive today is the fact that, whether we have any type of insurance or not, we always wait too late to see doctor or go to emergency room...I say this in case you're not going straight to seek medical help either because of lack of insurance or economic reasons.

You could be at the start of a lung infection I guess. But if your chest pain is severe, you should be seeing a doctor.
You say, made worse by eating or drinking.? Have you had acid reflux in the past.? Ever had asthma.?
If you're running and have asthma and are not taking your albuterol inhaler before you run, you can do damage to your heart. But the pain you feel is probably the muscles in your chest that have to work overtime when you are having asthma.
If you have asthma, l you NEED to take your albuterol inhaler before you run. Especially if you have exercise induced asthma. If you are working too hard to breathe, of course you will have chest pain. I read your other questions.

With the dry cough do you feel something in your chest but just can't get it out of is it just a cough and nothing period.? If you feel something in there then you could have some bronchitis developing, and so expectorant like Robitussin DM or Mucinex would help. Persistant cough WILL cause chest pain, your pulling those muscles everytime you cough and they are basically running a marathon. Eating or drinking will cause some pain too because you need to use those muscles to swallow and chew. Health Question & Answer
