A flame that is mostly yellow in color in natural gas-fired furnaces is often a sign fuel is not burning completely and higher levels of carbon monoxide are being released.

The gas stove probably didn't provide high amounts of carbon monoxide if the burning of the gas was inefficient.

Buy a carbon monoxide sensor and place it in the kitchen. This will give you piece of mind.Health Question & Answer

I am not sure, but treat all gas exposure serious! Anyone in the house/apartment that is experiencing any cherry lips (really bright lips...brighter than normal) rosy cheeks (really flushed looking) breathing problems, nauseated or coughing spells need to be check out in the ER. Please go and buy CO detector, your local fire department has them for free if you don't have the money right now.Health Question & Answer
