Question: What is it called when your body doesn't produce the enzyme to digest red meat.?
Answers:
I would say you are intolerant to red meat. My body does not produce the enzyme to digest poultry; however, I can eat beef and pork. Health Question & Answer
There are a few things they call it: indigestion, acid reflux, and heart burn are the most common. The enzyme Pepsin is the one that is responsible for digesting meat.
If your body does not produce enough of this enzyme to break down the meat properly, it forms lactic acid that gives you the "acid" feeling in your stomach. Contrary to popular opinion of the medical doctors, stomach acid is not the culprit; it is lactic acid from the rotting, disgusting chyme that is not acidic enough.

Im not sure what the enzyme is called but I do know that if you mix meat with carbs the different enzymes needed will often cancel each other out and you end up with undigested food in your colon. Carbs and meat employ different enzymes in the digestion process. also drinking immediately after you eat can dilute the stomach acids and thats not a great idea either.Health Question & Answer
