Question: Is there anything I can do to help with my asthma induced shortness of breath until i can get some medication.?
I had an asthma attack today (while biking in the cold), and, because it is the first one I have had in a decade, I have no medication. I have been short of breath for hours today and i am starting to feel light-headed. I will go to the doctor tomorrow, but in the mean time, I just need to get my breath back, even little bit. The bad thing about asthma is that it can go bad fast without treatment. I think you should go to the ER NOW!
I have seen people die who waited. Have somebody drive you or call 911, I think you should call 911, they can give you a treatment when they get to your home, and keep giving it to you on the way.

I take it you don't have an emergency inhaler.?.? If not get one from your Dr tomorrow.
In the meantime run hot water & breath it in you will get some relief..Have asthma & COPD & it helped me when I was out of my meds.

Try to practice breathing exercise regularly. Do this exercise for 15 minutes daily. You will feel better and get relief from asthma. My best wishes to you. Health Question & Answer
