Question: I have to get a TB test.?
I have to get a TB test done tomorrow for a job (health field). I've never had one done and I was wondering if it hurts. I kinda have a small fear of needle (well just blood being drawn). I can take shots like tetanus & hepatitis B. Does it hurt less that one of those.?Health Question & Answer

Done correctly, a TB is completely painless. It really is not a shot and the needle just goes under the top few cells on the skin & is super tiny.Health Question & Answer
I had this test done in college (student teaching) and it was no big deal. You may initially feel a slight stinging sensation as the needle is inserted, but that's about it. No blood is drawn, but the injection site might feel slightly itchy for a short time. Compared to having a tetanus shot, this one is a piece of cake.Health Question & Answer
well they don't take blood so that shouldn't worry you.
and yeah it hurts and you get a bruise but i'd say that a tetanus shot is way more painful. Health Question & Answer

It hurts much less as the the needle does not go in as far or as deep with a TB Test.Health Question & Answer
