I noticed very little change after starting tetracycline. I used it for about 3 months, then gave up.
I would not recommend it.
All in all, it was a waste of money, stained my teeth (a common side-effect of long-term antibiotics), and made my acne harder to treat because it built up a resistance to antibiotics. From what I have heard (And semi-experienced - although I have never tried accutane), the only oral medication that really consistently works is regular to high dosage Accutane, otherwise just stick with topical stuff.

Go to Walmart and purchase some sulfer. It's a yellow powder. Mix it with some type of moisturizer and pat it on the acne. I promise it will work...just DON'T get this in your eyes it burns really bad!Health Question & Answer
