Has anyone been put on orthocept for acne?!
Question: Has anyone been put on orthocept for acne.?
Or does anyone have a list of birth control pills that are specifically for treating acne.? I want to know what birth control pills are prescribed to treat it. I was recently put on orthocept and my skin looked dry on the day that i went to my appointment so i think she might have given me the wrong pills. My acne was getting better before i went on ortho cept and now its way worse! ive had trouble with it for many many years so im full of frustration. any input on a pill that would help would be great. ive only been taking it for five days and my skin is already incredibly oily. should i try it for longer.? will planned parenthood let me switch after five days.? i also bought pills for 3 months but i didnt open them. Will they let me return them.? Thanks sooo much to anyone that can help i just cant take my skin anymore!Health Question & Answer

The only two pills FDA approved for the use of acne is Ortho Trycyclen and Yaz. However I had the same problem as you and I was put on Desogen (and equivalent of orthocept). The 1st pack my acne got worse and like you I had bought a 3 months supply so I figured let me give it a try by month 2 it got better and by pack 3 it was cleared up completely and I LOVE IT. Ortho cept is a monophasic pills so you can skip periods if you like and you get the same dose of hormones everyday. I have also noticed my hair on my legs is not growing as fast and thinner. The hair on my head is growing so fast and so beautiful. I have increased my breastsize by one cup and Im on pack#6 best of luckHealth Question & Answer
