Answers:
I am so sorry. It is so difficult to watch and wait while someone you love goes through this.

Each case is different, so no one can say for sure "how long". My sister made it 6 weeks after the cancer was found to have spread to her brain. She slept a lot and didn't eat much. At first, when she was awake she was quite alert, but toward the end, she was out of it most of the time.

The medication that my sister was given for pain must have been quite effective, because she didn't complain of discomfort nor were there any indications that she was in any distress. She finally simply went to sleep and didn't wake up.

God bless you and your family...

Health Question & Answer

Once the cancer has progressed this far not much can be done, and her age only makes it worse. The only thing you can do is make her comfortable.

She probably has only a few weeks to a month left, but when cancer gets into the brain someone can pass at any time. If she has been made comfortable then she will not be in any distress once the time comes. She will simply pass in her sleep most likely.

I am sorry to hear of her illness, just try to remember the good times.Health Question & Answer

Just make sure she is given the right drugs ot keep her comfortable,
spend as much time as possible with her and let her know she is loved. Not sure what to tell you to expect because everyone is different, but her organs will probably start to shut down as the cancer takes them over.
I will say a prayer for you and your family. Hang in there.Health Question & Answer
