Hi Delina,
First off, I am a nurse and worked in public health in an immunization program. It is okay to get a flu shot if you have mild cold symptoms. The flu shot IS NOT a live virus. And it is okay to take Aleve. If you need more information, check out the CDC's website. They have mucho info on influenza and immunizations.Health Question & Answer

First off, you shouldn't get the flu shot when you have a cold. Whoever administered the flu shot should've asked if you currently had a cold or anything. If you said Yes, they should've recommended you not get the flu shot.
Otherwise taking that alive stuff should be fine, even if I do think it's snake oil. Health Question & Answer
