Question: How can a boil can be cure.?
my 6 month old son has a swollen part near his anus and i believe its a boil...we went to hospital before but we are only advised to dip his butt to warm water at least 6 times a day and wait it to burst alone...it been week since im doing it but its still there...hope someone can help meHealth Question & Answer

Normally, they are lanced, but since he is in diapers it should be left alone.
He could develop an infection, or worse, become septic if it was opened.
So, it is not really a problem. Yes, it should be treated in water and maybe epsom salts. I would highly recommend using neosporin cream together with vaseline, but keep as much antibiotic ointment in the area as possible.Health Question & Answer

Boils are invariably staph infections, and require careful and diligent handling. Call the pediatrician. It has been a week...the Dr. needs to take a look at it asap. With resistant staph like MRSA, never take any chances with a boil. Whatever you do, do not squeeze it. You will spread the infection if you do that.Health Question & Answer
I would call your son's MD tommorow, and let the doctor know that you have been doing it for a week. I would advice against trying to pop it though, if you do that, it can cause infection, in turn being a larger problem.Health Question & Answer
