She gets scalley skin and some pimple like bumps that she scratches a lot. I bathe her in oatmeal shampoo. What i need to know, is dandruff that sticks to the hair normal in dogs.?Health Question & Answer

Most dog shampoos and coat conditioners are really very harsh on dogs skin. They do make the fur glossy, but are very drying on the dogs.
Use your own shampoo and conditioner on her. and not the so called "dandruf shampoos" either. Brush her on a regular basis, like every day! at least for a while.
You might try adding a bit of bacon fat or some other oil to her diet. Yes!! Dogs need more fats in their diet than we do, but for us as well as them, it puts the oils back into their skin and fur.
We cannot put our best friends on a fat free diet and not have it affect them adversly.Health Question & Answer
