Sinus infection not going away ? ?!

Question: Sinus infection not going away .? .?

Hi,

I has some kind of Viral Sinus infection from last two weeks - mainly nasal and chest congestion, really bad post nasal drip, fatigue. Doctor told me to take Advil for Cold and Sinus and asked me to take allergy medicine.

Symptoms are much better now, however I sometime I get pressure around me eyes, sensitivity to light and ringing in my ears.

Is this because I took allergy medicine along with Advil for couple of days .?
Maybe Sinus is dried up from medicines and hence causing facial pressure and light sensitivity .?

mucus was clear that's why doctor said its Viral infectionHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
If this has been going on for 2 weeks you should ask for a referral to an EENT specialist. Eyes, Ears, Nose & Throat doctor. Has there been any fever with this condition.?
I had a very long ordeal with sinus issues in my early 20's. Multiple antibiotic treatment, nasal antibiotic drops, MRI of sinuses, nasal endoscopy, etc. The infection lasted 3 months, similar symptoms as you describe, but ultimately I received a diagnosis. My case was not viral. Sounds like yours may not be either. Go for a second opinion.Health Question & Answer
