the bottom line here : people do just as well WITHOUT antibiotics as they do WITH antibiotics. So you really don't need to see a doctor in 99% of cases -- most cases are just nasal obstruction - and decongestants work just as well for that. You can ask your pharmacist for one over the counter, such as pseudoephedrine.
For people with chronically relapsing nasal obrstuction, almost all are really suffering from ALLERGIES, not infection. Nasonex is the answer -- that does require a prescription. But it will fix you for good as long as you continue to use it.
