Yea it does... this is what I do:

Ok so fill a bowl with super hot water.
Then put a towel over your head (so the steam doesn't escape) and let the steam fill your pores and cleanse for about 3 minutes or so.
After the ick comes out of your pimple (DONT pop it! the steam should do that without causing a scar), put a dab of toothpaste on it for about 15 minutes.
also, create a facial mask using household materials.

For example I just did one with 1 banana, 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of honey. It worked great!

Hope I helped... because that took a lot of time to type. lol :)

PS the first time I put toothpaste on it stung, but the next times it was perfectly normal... er... as normal as putting toothpaste on a pimple can be!Health Question & Answer

If the toothpaste has baking soda in it, which a lot do. If you're going to do that though, I would just take some regular baking soda and mix it with a litte water till it's like a paste, then dot it on the zit. It dries out the oil, the same way toothpaste oes, but you don't have all the other stuff on there too.Health Question & Answer

yes it does, but it can often take a lil longer than an actual medication designed for acne. if you use toothpaste, make sure that you use some type of astringent and that will help dry it out faster, but i would recommend that you go to a dept store like macy's or dillards and visit the clinique counter. they have something called acne's solutions spot healing gel. it's about 13 dollars, but it's well worth it!!!Health Question & Answer

Not all the time. I heard it does for some people though because what it does is that it actually dries the pimple up (kind of like how toothpaste dries up when not in the tube), and when you wash your face, the debris in your pimple goes with the toothpaste. It doesn't hurt to try...

Hope this helped at least a widget =]Health Question & Answer

I have heard that cure for years and it never worked, but I don't think it will hurt! The best thing I have seen is the "proactive- mask"- you use a dot of it, it is made of sulfur and it does dry it up in a few days but not overnight the way they say on tv.Health Question & Answer

My daughter tried that and said it did not work for her. I think it depends on skin type. Milk of Mag is supposed to help, also, for some people (applied topically). She saw a tiny difference but not enough to keep using it.Health Question & Answer

i don't think so! i mean to me it seems like the toothpaste would make it "dirtier".

just for later on.....
if you are using something for your skin and it irritates your skin don't use it or reduce the use of it!Health Question & Answer
