Question: How do you know the difference between a canker sore and a cold sore (Herpes HSV-1).?.?
I have this little bump thing on my lower lip, it is more on the inside of my lip. If i close my mouth, you cannot see it at all. I am not sure if it is a canker sore or a cold sore. This "bump" is pretty tiny, the only reason why i noticed it was becuase i felt it with my tongue. So what is the difference between a canker sore and cold sore.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
A canker sore is a whitish ulcer that forms on the gums and lining of the lip and mouth.

Cold sores (oral herpes) appear as crusty blisters around the mouth or nose. Some people get the lesions around their eyes.Health Question & Answer
