Question: Protein in the urine.?
My ten year old daughter has 3+ protein in her urine. I have researched this and haven't been satisfied with any of the answers i have found. Has anyone ever had this problem or been treated for this.?Health Question & Answer

My daughter tested with protein in her urine also.... but the second testing was neg. I was a bit worried since she is prone to kidney infections without a UTI first. I can give you what info I have found and hope for the best for you. Your Dr should test her 3 times, a month apart, before sending her to a nephrologist (kidney Dr)Health Question & Answer
That number sounds quite normal, quite good. I just had mine tested and it was at a 1. My doc says it's good as long as it's less than 20, which is the level where microalbuminuria kicks in. What is your concern.?Health Question & Answer
Protein in urine can show either kidney infection (UTI) or kidney disease. Unfortuantely, it can also indicate cancer.
