Question: Should i have called 911.?

im severely depressed so i almost never eat so basically i hadnt eaten in over 24 hours and i stayed up all night and i take 50 mg adderall xr and 150 mg wellbutrin xl which i took that morning under the conditions i just described and so around 10 am or so i suddenly could barely breathe and was choking for air and i was dizzy and my chest hurt really bad like stabbing shooting pain and my heart was beating really really fast but faintly my arms stiffened up and hurt in what i think was my vains and my eyes went all blurry and i staggered around banging into things and my neck stiffened and felt nauseous

this lasted for a minute or so then the heart thing and the breathing kept going and over the next hour or so slowly went back down but the heart thing kept going at a low level for the rest of the day and the chest pain stayed that long too

Hi Double07,

It sounds like you had a real bad experience here - you have my sympathies.

I believe that you should have called 911 100% because you had at least two of the classic symptoms of a heart attack.

These are :-

* sudden chest pain
* pain radiating to the left arm or left side of the neck
* shortage of breath
* nausea
* vomiting
* heart palpitations
* sweating
* anxiety or a feeling of dread

You don't say how old you are, and this is another risk factor, as heart attacks usually occur in middle aged or older people.

I believe that you should go and see a physician as soon as you can because all types of chest pain should be invetigated medically.

Best wishes, and I hope you keep well.

Malcolm.
