My palms and fingers are so incredibly flakey, dry and rough. Help!?!

Question: My palms and fingers are so incredibly flakey, dry and rough. Help!.?
Seriously, every winter it happens. I live in Minnesota and it is so dry here. My hands literally snag on clothing they are so rough. Yuck! I have a boyfriend now and I'm embarrassed to hold his hand. Does anyone know of reallly good hand moisturizer.? If it is too expensive I won't even use it because I'm so cheap. Something I can get at the drugstore or Bath and Body Works. Neutrogena Swiss Hand Cream is the closest I've found to working. Anything else.? Thanks!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
PALMERS COCOA BUTTER!!!
it works miracles!
its only about $4 in walmarts around here (i live in alabama)
but its not expensive and it last a long time.

if you dont like the smell of it then i would go to bath&body works or go to their online store...

they have REALLY great creams (not lotions, but creams) that arent too thim and arent too thick [:

thats what i use anyways!Health Question & Answer

This happens in Oklahoma winters, too. Try Corn Huskers Lotion, you can get it at most grocery stores and pharmacies. Vaseline and shea butter are good, and the overnight sock or glove treatment is great too! Please don't rub pineapple on your hands, the acid will dry them out more. Health Question & Answer

get something with Shea butter. they have hand cream and hand lotions available, but the creams are much more hydrating. also at night you can put on a thick coat of moisturizer all over your hands, and put on a pair of gloves, take them off when you wake up in the morning.Health Question & Answer

ok what you need to look for is a barrier cream. its what farmers use on there hands. its the best thing you can get. there are loads of brands just type it into google or go to your pharmacy and ask.

it is honestly the best thing for this it acts like an invisible pair of gloves, preventing contact between the skin and potential irritants, smoothing the surface and protecting

Try paraffin wax. Most nail salons have that. It helps to soften it, but u will still need to keep putting a good mosturizer on at night especially. Put on some warm lotion and wrap your hands in socks or some gloves if you have. It helps hold the mosture in.

Manicure is $12 with the paraffin wax it will probably be an extra $10.

Pineapple are good skin softeners which cleanse and rejuvenate dull and dry skin, especially for classic rough skin spots like knees, elbows, and heels.
