E.N.T. specialist..? Please answer?!

Question: E.N.T. specialist...? Please answer.?
I finally got recommended to see one a few days ago. So I went to the appointment and told him my symptoms:
Pressure in ears
fever
stiffness at bottom of skull
unbalanced
headaches
I thought right away he would rrecommend me getting tubes put into my ears to stop the pressure. Instead he said my symptoms don't relate to an Eustachian tube problem. He put me on a month's worth of Novo-Betahistine ( used to treat Vertigo). I am still having the same problems even when I do take the medication. When I see him in a month, what else can he recommend Or will I get tubes then.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
your chances of him recommending tubes ever is 0% cuz your symtoms don't relate to getting tubes.

the reason people get tubes in their ears is cuz they repeatedly get ear infections. you obviously don't have an ear infection or he would've first given you antibiotics.

and the symptoms that you descibe sound like vertigo.
try it for a month. like everyday as prescribed and then if at the end of the bottle they really aren't helping go back and he will try something else.
but you have no need for tubes and that wouldn't fix your problems so why continue to try to get something that will not help. Health Question & Answer

The next step will probably be tubes since it's very simple. While they put kids under for it, adults are fully awake for the procedure. I had it done a few years ago and it took 5 minutes.

They may also suggest different medication (I forget the name of the one I was on, it's fairly rare though) to try, or diet changes. I was told to cut salt out of my diet and no smoking, caffeine or alcohol.

If you haven't yet, you may get x-rays or a cat scan to ensure that there isn't any deformities causing problems.Health Question & Answer

I used to have these symptoms pretty much constantly for about ten years. After just one month of chiropractic care, they were totally gone and never came back. That was 22 years ago, and I'm still well.Health Question & Answer
