Answers:
Condoms are the best way to prevent HIV infection, if one partner is infected. No if you have unprotected sex HIV is not transmitted every time, BUT it only takes one time, so why chance it.

As far as HIV vs AIDS, it is all based on T-cell count. If the number is above 200 it is HIV+ if it drops to 200 or less it is AIDS. With a lower T-cell count a person is much more susceptible to infections that are much more difficult to get ride of.

I hope this helpsHealth Question & Answer

First question: i mean if you wear condom why aids doesnt transmit to you.?

We know that Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is one of the STD's (Sexually Transmitted Diseases), it can be acquired through seminal/ vaginal fluids. It can be also acquired by transferring infected blood to a normal person. Condom is one of the contraceptives that helps prevent the spread of the Human Immuno-deficiency Virus (HIV) BUT it is not proven to be 99 percent effective. It is only 85% for a male condom and 79% in a female condom. So it is not kind of advisable to prevent infection. ABSTINENCE is the best way.

Second:anyway, whats the difference between aids and hiv..?
is it just names.?

Well, I can say that they are not the same, but are largely related.

HIV, or Human Immuno-deficiency Virus is a relatively weak virus which does not live outside the body, BUT when it comes inside the body it cannot be killed. (OUCH!)

AIDS, or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is a disease that is caused by the HIV that invades the immune system that causes the body to be more vulnerable to diseases and/or rare cancers.

I have no sources, they are just based on what I know.Health Question & Answer

Firstly, you don't give people AIDs, you give them HIV. AIDS develops by itself after a person has had HIV for a certain period of time. And it isn't a sure thing that if you don't use a condom the person you sleep with will contract HIV but there is a very high possibilty. I suppose it's like an STD, if you wear a condom, you probably won't contract one. Health Question & Answer

Aids and hiv are the same and are transmitted by mixing bodily fluids, although this doesnt include kissing.
if you come into contact with an open wound from your partner you can also contract aids. so apart from saliva and urin be very careful of any other juices.Health Question & Answer

"What's the difference between typing a question into a search engine and getting an instant, reliable answer from a reputable page, and typing the same question into 'Yahoo Answers' and getting unreliable information from dubious sources" would be a better question. Health Question & Answer
