"veg ryan" you are a med student and didn't even think to mention cataracts.?......

it sounds like a cataract but they don't just happen suddenly like that. have you noticed that when you look at things with that eye that its blurry or things that are supposed to be straight (like a door frame) are wavy.

the colors (halos) areound lights, the sensitivity to light, and the cloudy look in your eye are classic signs of cataracts.

here learn all about cataracts:
http://www.webmd.com/eye-health/cataract...

you need to see an ophthalmologist-one that can do surgeries.(do not see an optometrist-one that gives you glasses)
if the cataract is bad enough they will remove it and put a new lens in your eye.
its a fairly simple operation and recovery time is only about 1 week.

and just incase it is retina related learn all about retinal detachments and compare your symptoms to the ones of a retinal detachment but from the little that you've said i don't think this is is what you are descibing but then again you weren't very detailed.
if this is what you think you have get to an ophthalmologist ASAP cuz this can quickly lead to blindness in the eye and needs to be taken care of FAST!!!
http://www.webmd.com/eye-health/tc/retin...

cataracts can wait but a retinal detachment can't.

hope all turns out ok for you.

*EDIT*
ok well if you can see it like its physically cloudy on your eye and not just in your vision and your parents can see it if they look at your eye then it is very very likely a cataract.
but if your parents can't see the "cloudiness" in your eye then it may be the retina. but from what you are saying it sounds like its not your vision but physically your eyeball looks cloudy. and if thats the case i'd say cataract.Health Question & Answer

More info...

Is it in your field of vision as you look at things.? Like its floating.? If it is, you should probably go see your eye doc, because it could be something with your retina and you could go blind. (no joke).

Or is it something physically ON your eye.? If that is the case, you could have some kind of infection.

You describe vision changes, which could indicate either something wrong with the nervous aspect of your vision or it could be something physically obstructing your view.

At any rate, you should tell your parents to get you an appointment with your pediatrician. If your vision gets worse, go to the Emergency Room

PS - Rapid onset of cataracts in a 14 year old.? Lets rule out some of the things that appear higher on our DDX first, since cataracts appear in just half a percent of little kids.Health Question & Answer
