You can only get the oral type of herpes (cold sores) from kissing people. 80-90 percent of the world's population has oral herpes, that's about 4 out of 5 people so there is a good chance that you could possibly have it too. A sore throat is only one symptom and is not a common symptom of herpes unless you have them inside of your mouth which is not common to have.

there is no way for anyone other than a doctor to diagnose you. do you know for sure that the girl you made out with has herpes.?
