Should I be okay with my husband smoking weed?!

Question: Should I be okay with my husband smoking weed.?
I know this is probably a stupid question to some people but should I be okay with him smoking weed once in a while.? We have been arguing alot lately over this issue because he knows I dont like any type of drug. After we started dating he decided to come clean and tell me the truth that he smokes weed, but he said if it bothered me then he would stop for me because he cared alot for me.Well 5 years later and 2 kids,he all the sudden is "craving" to smoke it again, and even threatens to leave us so he can smoke all he wants. His mother recently passed away so I think he is looking for a way to "numb" his pain maybe.?So I have no experience in this subject and was hoping someone could help me out...do you think weed is so bad.?or am I over reacting.?I dont want to lose my husband but then again I dont want to see him do something that harms him.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
He threatened to leave you & your children so he can smoke weed.?.?.?.?
He's not a very devoted guy to his own family & that's too bad.
No, it's not okay for him to smoke it. He's got kids! Does he know what 'Role Model' means.?
Go get him some weed, pack it into a suitcase with his toothbrush & underwear, a photo of you & the kids. Put the suitcase on the porch with a note wishing him a happy life.

Health Question & Answer

in my opinion, you are over-reacting. as long as it does not affect your marriage or your children, weed should not be such a big issue. as long as it is in moderation, i see nothing wrong with a little marijuana use. when i am depressed, it helps me feel better. there is nothing wrong with it!Health Question & Answer

Pretty sure it's illegal for the use of weed unless prescribed. Breaking the law should be frowned upon.Health Question & Answer

There are no stupid questions, if they have to be asked. Weed is a drug and yes, he's harming himself in two ways, one his body the other it's illegal and, he's harming his relationship between the two of you. He also has two children to think about.
We all have parents that have passed away and, we've coped with the sad situation, haven't we .? Get him into a group through the church, your doctor or if it's that bad, see a county health worker. These I'm afraid are the only ways your going to help if her won't listen to reason. Good luckHealth Question & Answer

Many people are against smoking weed....and I am pretty sure that the great majority of responses you will get will be anti weed.

Here in Australia it has been reported, however, that 25% of adults smoke weed regularly (that means at least once per week)...so it is a fairly common practice.

Weed has a rather strange effect....it varies dependent upon your mood.

If you are in a happy mood, weed makes you super happy.

If you are bitter, it mellows you.

If you are horny, you will have incredible sex.

What I am trying to say is that you really need to understand WHY he wants to smoke...so you can gauge which effect he is seeking.

Ask him why....and you will have more of an understanding of what you can do to assist him in what he needs to satiate that requirement......rather than him having to turn to weed to get the desired result.

Health Question & Answer

I believe weed is a completely harmless drug and I have no idea why it's illegal in the USA. I've never heard of anyone getting addicted to it. It's just something pleasant to do, like drinking a glass of wine at the end of a day. Lighten up and don't be so judgemental. There's nothing wrong with weed. I wish I could smoke it myself, but I don't know where to get it! I used to smoke it before my kids were born, and ocassionally even after they were born, but that was over ten years ago and both the people I used to get it from moved far away. I married a man who smoked weed also. He also had numerous excuses for doing it.....it relaxed him, it made him feel creative, it made him catch more fish, it was for his stress, and on and on.
We now have two children, 21 and 18. He is alone because I finally got smart enough to divorce him when the kids were 5 and 8 because he wouldn't stop acting like a stupid child and quit doing it so that we could raise our kids.
His children now hate him because he is nothing but a loser pothead and now that they are grown, they see it for themselves.
If he won't quit doing it, get rid of him. Plain and simple.Health Question & Answer
