Yes totally normal to see your chest pulsing with your heartbeat. Sometimes if you're lying in bed or sitting very still in a chair you can actually feel your body move a little with each heartbeat.

This is normal and has absolutely nothing to do with any mental disorders as we all feel it if we listen to our bodies or look at them.

A lot of girls if they put their head on a males chest, especially when lying down or slouching in a chair, will often comment they can hear and feel your heart beating against your chest.

I suspect the soreness is more anxiety about this happening and adding to your other uncertainties about yourself and normality. RELAX and stay calm. Stressing over body things which we don't understand and seem abnormal can cause us to release adrenalin and this has many effects within the body, one of which is to narrow blood vessels to bump up BP in case we need to spring into action to save our bodies. The old fight or flight response. This affect, if not dissipated, can also then tighten the little muscles which move the ribs for breathing - the intercostal muscles - and this will cause a chest pain as, without noticing it, you need to work a bit harder to make yourself breath.

Hope this helped. Health Question & Answer
