If your lower back is hurting badly. I have taken some cranberry pills and I am drinking plenty of water and cranberry juice. Is there anything else I can do for it.?Health Question & Answer

Definitely go see a Doctor. Kidney infections are nothing to play around with. While cranberry juice is a good way to try to avoid infections, it isn't a treatment for kidney infections in itself. If what you have is an infection you need to be started on antibiotics as soon as possible. In addition to becoming extremely painful, untreated they can lead to permanent kidney damage. While I have never had a kidney infection myself, I have had two kidney transplants and was on dialysis for 4 years. So, it is imperative that you take care of yourself.Health Question & Answer
cranberry juice and pills work if it is a bladder infection. if your lower back is hurting and you have a kidney infection then you need to see a doctor. bladder infections are not the same thing at all to a kidney infection, the latter is far more serious. you may need a prescription for antibiotics.Health Question & Answer
honestly you need to go to the doctor. yeah cranberry juice will help and maybe even sometimes knock it out of your system, and there are also pills out there that can help with the discomfort, but to get rid of the infection you need a doctor to prescribe you some meds.Health Question & Answer
